Metų pradžioje rajono savivaldybė ir Vilniaus prekybos, pramonės ir amatų rūmų Ukmergės filialas surengė vietos valdžios ir verslo visuomenės šventinį renginį „Drauge galime daug“. Renginyje apžvelgti praėjusių metų rezultatai, pristatyti ateities planai, diskutuota apie naujas iniciatyvas.
Renginio, kuriame grojo Meno mokyklos muzikos skyriaus styginių instrumentų orkestras (vad. Virginija Mažeikienė, koncertmeisterė Rasa Jermolavičienė), vedantieji: savivaldybės administracijos direktoriaus pavaduotoja Agnė Balčiūnienė ir Vilniaus prekybos, pramonės ir amatų rūmų viceprezidentas Romas Pivoras pristatė renginio svečius.
Rajono meras Rolandas Janickas bendrą darbą palygino su bitėmis, kurios veikia kartu, pasidalindamos naštą pagal galimybes. Perėjęs prie aktualijų meras paminėjo, kad verslas suneša medų, o savivalda jį turi gerai paskirstyti ir padalinti tiems, kuriems labiausiai to reikia. Lietuvos Respublikos ūkio ministras Mindaugas Sinkevičius pasidžiaugė, jog savivalda randa laiko ir mato prasmę bendrauti su verslu. Seimo nario Juozo Varžgalio nuomone, renginys su verslo ir savivaldos atstovais yra sveikintina iniciatyva. Nes jų santykiai lemia paprastų žmonių gyvenimą. Ir paminėjo, jog tikisi, kad savivaldybė verslui padės. Vilniaus prekybos, pramonės ir amatų rūmų generalinis direktorius dr. Almantas Danilevičius sakė, kad 2016 metai turėjo daug įsimintinų įvykių. Ir palinkėjo, kad 2017 metais būtų įgyvendintos visos iniciatyvos.
Prisimenant 2016 metų vietos verslo pasiekimus, verslininkams buvo įteiktos nominacijos. Verslo nominacijos skirtos „Už metų verslo plėtrą“. Ją gavo AB „Ukmergės gelžbetonis“ generalinis direktorius Vaclovas Pakulis. „Už verslo plėtrą kaimo vietovėje“ apdovanota UAB „Oliseta“
direktorė Violeta Olisevičienė, nominacija „Jaunas ir verslus“ gavo UAB „Blade Group“
direktorius Andrius Tričius. 2016 metų Ukmergės krašto mecenatu paskelbtas UAB „Likmerė“
generalinis direktorius Mindaugas Kasmauskis, už verslo visuomenės iniciatyvas apdovanoti UAB „Stansefabrikken“ generalinis direktorius Nerijus Mašalas ir „Fabrikų taurės“ sumanytojas Dainius Mačiulis.
Antroje renginio dalyje Ukmergės rajono savivaldybės meras Rolandas Janickas papasakojo apie savivaldybės programas ir projektus. Kalbėdamas apie socialinę aplinką meras paminėjo, kad 2017 metų sausio 1 dieną gyventojų rajone buvo 35 372. Iš jų mieste gyveno 21 226 žmonės, kaime -14 146. Gyventojų Ukmergės rajone nuo 2006 iki 2017 metų sumažėjo 19,85 proc. Tai didžiausias sumažėjimas apskrityje.
2017 metų sausio 1 dienai rajone nedarbo lygis sumažėjo iki 12,2 proc., tačiau šis nedarbo lygis yra didžiausias Vilniaus apskrityje. Šalies nedarbo vidurkis – 9,8 proc. Didžiausias nedarbas jaunimo tarpe taip pat fiksuojamas Ukmergės rajone – 9,1 proc.
Kalbant apie užsienio investicijas rajone meras paminėjo, kad 2007-2013 metų ES paramos periodo metu Ukmergės rajone įgyvendinti 77 projektai, kurių bendra vertė beveik 41 milijonas eurų. Ukmergės rajono VVG įgyvendino 61 projektą, kurio bendra vertė beveik 1,3 milijono eurų. Per šį laikotarpį rajone buvo investuota 33 630 000 Eur ES lėšų, iš savivaldybės biudžeto – 6 408 250 Eur, iš valstybės biudžeto – 713 120 Eur.
2007-2013 metų ES paramos laikotarpiu daugiausia įgyvendinta švietimo ir neformaliojo ugdymo projektų (21), kaimo atnaujinimo ir plėtros (12), teritorijų planavimo (10) projektų.
2014-2020 metų ES paramos periodo metu Ukmergė išskirta tiksline teritorija, kurioje suplanuota daugiau kaip 40 projektų, kurių bendra vertė beveik 38 milijonai eurų. Šiam laikotarpiui ES skirs 30 525 600 Eur, valstybės biudžetas – 1 596 800 Eur, savivaldybės biudžetas – 5 611 600 Eur.
Apie vietos verslo plėtros perspektyvas kalbėjo Vilniaus prekybos, pramonės ir amatų rūmų Ukmergės filialo direktorius Regimantas Baravykas. Jis skaitė pranešimą tema „Žengianti į rytojų Ukmergė – planai ir projektai“. Direktorius pasakojo, kad Vilniaus PPAR Ukmergės filialas įsteigtas 1993 metų spalio mėnesį. Pirmoji bendradarbiavimo sutartis tarp savivaldybės ir Rūmų filialo pasirašyta 1999 metų sausio mėnesį. Ji patikslinta ir praplėsta 2007 metų balandžio mėnesį.
Rūmai ar jų atstovai nuolat dalyvauja savivaldybės sudaromose darbo grupėse, komisijose, renginiuose, susijusiuose su savivaldybės strategine plėtra bei vietos verslo sąlygų gerinimu savivaldybės teritorijoje. Taip pat dalyvaujama Smulkaus ir vidutinio verslo rėmimo fondo veikloje bei atstovauja darbdavius trišalėje taryboje.
R. Baravykas minėjo, kad savivaldybės teritorijoje yra 14 285 socialiai draudžiami asmenys. 1493 jų dirba medienos apdirbimo sferoje, 1501 metalo apdirbimo sferoje, 1206 statybos pramonėje, 1388 paslaugų sferoje, 900 tekstilės pramonėje. Rajone vyraujančios pramonės šakos yra medienos apdirbimas ir baldų gamyba, metalo gaminių ir konstrukcijų gamyba, tekstilės gaminių (siuvimo) gamyba, statyba.
Vidutinis bendras mėnesio darbo užmokestis rajone yra 650,43 eurai per mėnesį. Registruoti 8 571 pensininkai. Vidutinė pensija rajone 242,39 eurai.
2016 metais įmonės rajone dirbo pelningai. Jų apyvarta augo nuo 2 iki 15 procentų. Darbo užmokestis augo iki 20 procentų.
Pasak R. Baravyko, nors Ukmergės rajono darbo biržoje 2017 metų sausio 1 dieną buvo registruoti 2972 asmenys, ieškantys darbo, iš jų – bedarbių – 2603 (1201 moteris arba 46,1 proc. ir 1402 vyrai – 53,9 proc.). Rajono darbo biržoje yra užregistruotos 37 laisvos darbo vietos. Nors bedarbių ir daug, tačiau prognozuojama, kad kvalifikuotos darbo jėgos trūkumas jausis ir 2017 metais.
